Event Navigation
The role of the Queen’s husband was uncharted territory. Upon his wife Queen Elizabeth II’s succession, Prince Philip’s only official title was the Duke of Edinburgh. It was not until 1957, that that the Queen granted him the title of Prince of the United Kingdom. He became the longest reigning royal consort in history. Join Royal Historian (and MPL Librarian) Traci Hoffman for her final talk in her House of Windsor series. Learn how he carved a role for himself in the Royal Family, as well as his patronages, hobbies, relationships, and unwavering devotion to the crown for over 70 years.
