Zoning Applications
A zoning permit is required for any construction or structural alteration of any building or structure including, but not limited to, dwellings, commercial/industrial/institutional buildings, accessory buildings, decks, pools, fences, signs, gazebos, pavilions, or any other yard structure specified in the Zoning Resolution. Zoning permits are required for signs, change of use/occupancy, parking lot alterations, wireless telecommunication facilities (in residential areas) and others specified in the Resolution. The Zoning Inspector has 30 days to review a zoning permit application and issue a permit. Zoning permit applications can be completed online or at the Zoning Office.
Applications reviewed by the Zoning Inspector may be filed any day during regular business hours.
For commercial and non-residential projects, an application for Site Plan Review must be submitted and approved prior to issuing a zoning permit. Click here for more information on the Site Plan Review Process.
Building Permits may be required for your projects as well. Please contact the Lake County Building Department for information.
