In the early spring of 1948 a group of Concord residents raised $925 to start the Concord Fire Department. Early hand drawn fire engines, ladder wagons, hose carts had to be pushed back into a fire station after returning to quarters. To honor our firefighting heritage and celebrate the receipt of our new rescue pumper, 1375, we will be holding a push in ceremony.
