The seniors meet at the Concord Township Community Center on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. As you can see by the Calendar of Events below, we have a wonderful variety of programs. All our scoials are free, although fees may apply for outings, special events or luncheons. The Seniors Group is open to anyone wishing to attend and we look forward to seeing you. Wed. Sept. 1st - "Fall" for Bingo starts at 1:30pm. Come join the fun.

Wed. Sept. 15th - ** SPECIAL EVENT ** Hooray for Hollywood - What a special program this will be. Frank Krupa presents this nostalgic tribute to the entertainment capital of the world. This live show features acclaimed George Burns impersonator Jim Zofchak, the Act One Theatre Group and a fascinating memorabilia exhibit. Meet the performers after the show. This event will fill quickly so please be sure to reserve your seat today!

Wed. Oct. 6th - You're the Apple of Our Eyes - It's all about apples today. Ben Sage from Sage's Apples will be here to speak about what else...apples! There will be samples, yummy treats and much more.

Wed. Oct. 20th - Oktoberfest - FEE: $3 payable at the door day of event - Join us for this all German experience. Eric Noltkamper will entertain us with music while dressed in Lederhosen! Beer, soft pretzels, and strudel will be served by our own "German" staff. Advance notice of attendance appreciated.

All events are held at the Concord Community Center located at 7671 Auburn Road, Concord, Ohio 44077 from 1:30-3:30 pm unless otherwise noted. Hope to see you there!

2010 Summer Concert Series

A commemorative walkway meanders from the entrance to Town Hall to the Gazebo on the Commons. Bricks are available for purchase and engraving to commemorate you, your family, a special person, or a four-legged friend. Purchases help offset the cost of construction of the Commons. An engraved brick with three lines of text costs $75.00 (tax deductible).

The Veteran's Memorial Walkway is located in the Concord Cemetery on Route 608. A newly constructed monument and Veteran's Memorial compliment the walkway. An engraved brick with three lines of text costs $75.00 (tax deductible).

The Old Stone School House was built in 1840 and used as a one-room school-house until 1923 when the School system centralized. The school then became a private residence and eventually a business office for a local builder. In late 2001, the Township purchased the building and surrounding properties. After a major renovation project by a group of dedicated volunteers, the Old Stone School was opened on May 31, 2004. Access to the Lake Metroparks Greenway Corridor is now open. The School house is now open the 2nd and 4th Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and also serves as a history center for Concord Township.

Newly remodeled Coleridge Park has a new play structure geared for children age 5 through 12.

The bright colors appeal to kids and parents alike. Coleridge Park is located at the end of Coleridge Rd. off of Johnnycake Ridge Rd.

The Park is located just west of the intersection of Morley on Hoose Road and is one of Concord's most used parks. There are tennis courts, a basketball court and a children's play structure.

During the summer months, a 6-week tennis camp is held at the park. For more information, please call the Community Center at (440) 639-4650.

The Commons is located adjacent to Town Hall at 7229 Ravenna Road. It is the site of Concord Community Days, the Summer Concert Series, and many other community events scheduled throughout the year. The Gazebo on the Commons is available for rental and is perfect for couples looking for a special setting for their wedding ceremony.

The Concord Township Community Center is located at 7671 Auburn Road. The Center was purchased in 1997 for the purpose of promoting recreational, social, educational and cultural events. The Community Center offers a variety of children’s and adult enrichment classes. It also serves as a meeting place for many Concord Community groups. The Center is available for rental for parties of up to 120 guests. Please call the Center at (440) 639-4650 for rates and availability.
