NOTICE REGARDING CHANGE OF ELECTRIC SUPPLIERS The Township has received a number of phone calls regarding a letter from FirstEnergy/CEI about a change in electric suppliers. This change was not made by the Township. This change is a result of membership by Township residents in NOPEC, an aggregate buying group, that assists in obtaining competitive utility rates (electric and natural gas). Township residents have been participating in NOPEC for approximately 10 years as a result of a vote by the residents. You are not obligated to participate in this group, you may opt out. It is your choice to decide which utility company can provide the most competitive value to your budget. If you have questions regarding NOPEC you may go to their website: www.NOPECinfo.org, or call them at 888-848-7914. NOPEC ANNOUNCEMENT: New Electric Supplier 1/1/11 - 12/31/19 ####
While the bears haven't caused any injuries or serious damage to date, it is still necessary to take precautions. As the bears roam, they will need to seek out food sources. Be sure to remove any pet food from your yard. If you notice the bird feeder has been damaged or the food has been eaten overnight (birds will not feed at night, but bears do) you should stop filling the bird feeder and remove that source of food -- the bear will move on. Please don't try to track or corner a bear -- it may attack. For more information, please click on one or both of the following, forwarded by the Ohio Division of Wildlife: Situation: Black Bear Guidelines Pamphlet If you see a bear, please report it to: Division of Wildlife (District Office) (330) 644-2293 or to the local Wildlife Officer, Thomas Rowan (330) 245-3034. Thank you!
